Dentons advises Pro Patria Electronics in its successful bid for a battlefield reconnaissance radars contract Lawyers with Dentons’ Public Procurement and Government Contracts practice in Warsaw successfully represented Pro Patria Electronics in all stages of a procedure to award a public contract for delivery of 104 battlefield reconnaissance radar sets. The Polish Armaments Inspectorate found the bid put forward by our client to be superior to all the others submitted in the procedure and the contract for delivery of the radars was duly signed on 10 March 2020. Battlefield reconnaissance radars are of key importance for land-based military forces. They are used mostly by reconnaissance units serving all branches of the military, as well as by artillery units. Contract negotiations started in 2015 and were divided into several stages, including the pre-qualification stage and contract negotiations proper. As many as 13 prospective contractors were involved, which only serves to underscore the magnitude of the success achieved by the client with backing from Dentons lawyers. The legal team provided comprehensive advice to Pro Patria at all stages of the procedure up to and including proceedings before the National Appeals Chamber (KIO), which eventually ruled in favor of the client.
